Kirikou on Nintendo DS and Leapster, ninth and tenth productions of OUAT with its favourite hero!

OUAT Entertainment, Michel Ocelot and les Armateurs announce their ninth and the tenth collaborations on Kirikou with the launch at Christmas 2008 of Kirikou games on Leapster and Nintendo DS.

In “Dis pourquoi Kirikou! ” on Leapster (LEAPFROG), the child (4-7 yrs. old) travels with Kirikou and takes part in 6 activities which develop his sense of observation, his logic and memory and increase his awareness of important questions about nature.

Examples of activities of Dis pourquoi Kirikou! on Leapster:

  • Discovering African instruments
  • Classifying objects according to criteria
  • Locating in space
  • Building a path with geometrical forms
  • Spotting the odd one out

The Kirikou Leapster cartouche also includes little games of calculation, logic or vocabulary, tests reflexes of the player or his sense of observation, and helps the child becoming aware of the environment while having fun…

Nomad and practical, the Leapster console is equipped with a stylus and a real touchscreen, to discover the joys of the drawing, writing in all simplicity!


In “Kirikou and the wild beasts” on Nintendo DS published by ATARI, the village of Kirikou still lives under the influence of Karaba, the terrible witch, and this time the wild beasts also seem bewitched!

The child (5-8 yrs. old) must help Kirikou to face and overcome all the dangers which threaten his people through thirty levels and many innovating mini-games like “Red light, green light” or “frighten me” in which the child shouts and blows to give courage to Kirikou.
